Zuma defends his cabinet reshuffle

Zuma not feeling guilty about his decision of reshuffling the cabinet. President Jacob Zuma has once again defended his decision of the cabinet reshuffle saying that; “it’s time for change.”

This follows after Zuma’s speech, congratulating Transnet on the new locomotive, which is south Africa’s first locally engineered and manufactured train in Pretoria on Tuesday.

“If we do not enable our young MPs to gain experience now we may battle in future with leadership and government experience, ” he said.

Zuma emphasised that it is time for young leaders to take charge and thanked axed Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his Deputy Mcebisi Jonas for ensuring a ‘smooth transition’ on Tuesday.
